Lemon and Salt Water Flush (Recipe)
- to flush your colon
Boil one cup of hot water
Add one tablespoon of salt
Let the hot water cool for 5 minutes
Add 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
Mix together and drink.
Drink your cleanse before you have breakfast.
For lunch or dinner have a warm vegitable soup.
My Autumn Equinox Cleanse:
I started my morning by practicing Medical Qigong for the Autumn Season before I made my cleanse drink.
3 Qi Awakening
Lung and Large Intestine Qigong
Clearing the Lung and Large Intestine Meridian Qigong.
I did this practice outside at sunrise.
A colon cleanse is important to do every seasonal change to help flush the colon to reduce the risk of cancer, improve the immune system, improve health by removing toxins, and boost your energy.
You can also do this whenever you feel gassy or if you suffer from constipation or have too much fiber in your diet.
If you are health conscious then doing a cleanse is good whenever the season changes throughout the year. People also use this as a part of their healthy weight loss program. Whether you use this 4 times a year or a part of your weight loss program it is best to receive guidance from a trained professional.
A colon cleanse take 3 to 4 hours.
You may feel light-headed after drinking your colon cleanse.
Following the Medical Qigong Human Body Clock; Today I drank mine at 8:00 a.m.
Make sure you plan to stay home all day and get plenty rest. Try to stay in walking distance to your bathroom as the effects of your colon cleanse could take effect 2 hours after drinking.
After the 3 bowl movement, I made a black tea with lemon juice and hot water. I wanted to drink some orange tea with a little lemon juice keeping with my cleansing choice but I didn't have any at home. I was lucky enough to have someone go out for me shopping and will have some Orange tea before bed. Drinking the black tea with lemon will help you recover from any light nausea due to the salt in the colon cleanse drink. I also drank half a bottle of room temperature water to help replace the water lost from the bowl movements. It's not about losing weight for me it's about a healthy practice for my digestive health.
12:30p.m. lunch for me would consist of warm liquids and crackers.
I drank a Gatorade for replacing my electrolytes. It's a good idea to also have juice, herbal tea, water and the other liquids I mentioned above. It's important not to drink anything cold try to keep your drinks at room temperature or warmer. When drinking hot liquids, drink them at your comfort level. For my lunch, I had a hot black tea with lemon juice and some saltine crackers.
A good thing to know is to avoid eating "raw vegetables" after your colon cleansing treatment for at least 2 days as they are harder to digest.
I had a healthy vegetable soup for dinner making sure the vegetables are cooked soft.
Feeling light headed after the treatment is normal.
This is where I will repeat; Take it easy on your cleanse day, plan to stay home, comfortable and near your bathroom.
For food; prepping your vegetable soup the day before or simply buying a can of soup is a good idea. Less work for you on this day is best.
A good feeling after 1 or 2 bowel movements is feeling less bloated. You may also feel tired after the treatment. Rest. This is your relax day. Watch movies, read a book, LIVE chat with someone, etc...
I like to end the day with a meditation gathering the 5 elements. Taking a moment to appreciate taking care of myself.
